Cast; Do the actors suit the roles that they were cast in? Are they believable part of the reality they are in?

Jack Black as Jerry Gerber

Jack Black is actually the perfect role for this character, I couldn't think of a better actor to play the part. Jerry is an over enthusiatic person, who is very outgoing and jack black personality matches it perfect, as i have seen previous movies playing similiar roles. Now is he believable? In my opinion no because the reality he was in doesn't make it believable as a role he was playing, he was much too respected rather than the contrary.

Mos Def as Mike

This actor does not really suit the role he was assigned because in previous i alway interpret him as more as the antagonist, someone up to no good with a lot more attitude, but in this movie hes more of an insecure person being push around a lot by his peers. Yes he's very believable in the area the reality hes in, treatened by the streets, which results him to be more whimpy.

Danny Glover as Elroy Fletcher

Danny Glover really pulled off this character really made it a believable. Elroy can really relate to Danny in reality as well. They both have an ambition to succeed and Danny really brought it over to his character. His role in the reality is believable because Elroy is the elder which people around the "Hood" look up to, he is surely more wise around the people hes around.

How does Technology really impact the community at the beginning of the film? At the end this film?

Well technology really impacted the community because after the movies were all erase and when the newly amatuer remakes of the movies with their equipment such as the camera and reusable material really interested the community, which resulted in more sales in the movie store. At the end of the movies technology brought joy to the whole town as their movie they created using their own materials was dipicted through a projector really brought together the communty and made them work as one despite their reputation.

Media Appreciation #2: Buffolo Bill

1.Give at least 3 examples (with details) where the lines between reality (history) and entertainment (media) became blurred during the life of William Cody (AKA Buffalo Bill).

He begin's to lose reality and history when the occurrence of Ned Buntline. previously Cody changes the persona of the west by changing his appearance and tries to be more like Hiccock by telling the same storys as him. Ned Buntline which wanted to write a story about Hiccock but unable so now he chooses to write about Cody, which made him famous.

Cody's(buffalo bill) Wild West showcase was an overview which people viewed the west which he had created blinding his audience to make believe the West in strictly cowboy's, buffalos and indian just to please his audience he had blurred the line and creating semi-false interpretation of the west to make tons of money in being famous. Then he himself has also lost the reality of the west by so much travelling moving to england for five years.

Cody was contraditing, he was dicrimitive towards the indians, but in reality he wasn't. He actually cared for them, he learned native language also trying to help some tribes, but when it became to his Wild West he must put on a act of haterade towards these indians just for the money and the fam. This was one part in his life which he blurred reality and entertainment. To buffalo it was more to please the audience than to be true to himself.

What reasons do we have to call Buffalo Bill the “original world celebrity”? Explain.

We call Buffalo bill the "original world celebrity" because he was the first global famous person. performing the Wildwest show around the world that no one else did at that time. He left his home to please fans all across the world. They didn't have the technology of movies, so everything music of been live performace people had never seen this kind of entertainment live. Big money was paid to see these shows which made famous everywhere. In other words he brought the show to you instead of the other way around.

How could Buffalo Bill have benefited from new media? Who would have been some of his Facebook friends?

New media has change the world. It could of also changes Buffalo's bills also. Stress on travelling would of almost been eleminated with the invention of blu-ray movies, making his show more interesting adding a old authentic, but also mondern feature to the movie. This save him travelling around and also still giving him publicity. Advertising in commericials or ads etc is a great new media which buffalo bill would of greatly appreciated instead of back in the day where everything was passed on by people and paper. Internet is probably the greatest way to to share information because of the ease of use and population which obtain this. Buffalo could of utilize the internet to create websites or promoting through the internet.
His Facebook friend would of consisted of bill hiccok, ned Buntline, maybe his wife and
Nate Salsbury

Homework- Media Appreciation #3: media of the future

  1. Find “something” new that we’ll see in the future
Sometime in the near future, we will be able to own robots which follow our every command. It's not unattainable this technology is definitely realistic with the scientist we possess in today society. Basically how these robots work is that, they have voice recognition and try to fulfill each command you give it to it's best of it's knowledge. These Robots can do all the chores and much more with just the sound of your voice. It's almost like having an alternative family member in the house that does everything without the complaint, but for a very costly price(initial value purchased at store/online whatever).

2. What is the immediate use for the maker’s product?

This product can be used in so many different forms, anywhere from around the house work to public services for the city(s). This product is great for people who need an extra hand around the house compensating for people, but even better because the voice command. These robots can even impact services such as police enforcement or anything which put the human life in danger, by replacing humans with robots this could keep more civilians safe and and professions by of the non-risk which people must take each and everyday. Now you can simply tell the robot your command.

3.
What impact will this product have on us, the users,and/or the world?

Like every product there is always a good & bad to everything. Just depends on how the users chooses to utilize it. This can really impact us because it's almost like the perfect human life form, but better in ways that are more important. Someone who chooses to do good can very far with a product like this, it can help so many people and so easily. We no longer have to depend on others to risk themselves for others, when these state of the art robots can compensate for humans. This can either make the world a better place or make it a worse place like i said depending on whose interpretation of the product.
